QUEENSTOWN → ARROWTOWN, via Gorge Rd-Malaghans Rd or via SH 6

You have a choice of two routes:

Route choice 1: drive from Queenstown to Arrowtown via Gorge Rd-Malaghans Rd. This is a scenic route passing the entrance to Coronet Peak.It takes you over the historic Shotover Bridge and through Arthur’s Point. Shotover jet boating (water adventure) was also located on this route. Stop at shotover jet if you haven’t go there when you are in Queenstown

ARROWTOWN → CROMWELL “fruit town”, via SH 6 & SH 8

Drive from Arrowtown to Cromwell via state highway 6 and state highway 8.

Cromwell’s major industry is fruit growing. If you’re here over summer, roadside fruit stalls are a delicious temptation.

I recommend you to visit Jones Family Fruit Stall in Cromwell. They have lots of very fresh fruits. My favorite is the cherry. When I bought the cherry at Jones fruit stall on summer, it was sweet & the price was cheap, but when I bought it on winter the price was quite expensive and the taste were a little sour (maybe because the cherry’s season is on summer).

Fresh fruit availability at Jones fruit stall from december to november:
